it’s almost like i depended on delicious for years. rather than pinboard, the oft-recommended social bookmarking site, I’m trying google bookmarks, since the service has some inherent value to them, rather than just the $7 worth of accountability from pinboard.

If you’re using {TagsAsClasses} to apply special formatting to posts with certain tags, you might not want those particular tags showing up on your blog or on the Dashboard. Luckily, tags prefixed with an underscore, like “_promo”, will only appear in {TagsAsClasses}. Ta-da!

Except, of course, CSS classes must begin with a letter (not a number, or a symbol).

See that “relative” checkbox? click it. both fields revert to zero, and you can put “900” in the width, and it’ll add 900, relative to the current size.

Neutralizing a color cast can be one of the most difficult jobs in post-production. The problem I most often have is realizing that my image has a color cast, but not being able to identify which color is causing the cast! Is it magenta or red? Blue or cyan?

This simple tutorial solves this problem by finding neutral gray in the image, thereby removing the need to guess the color. In order for this trick to work however, your image MUST contain 50% gray tone somewhere in the image; otherwise the color correction will be off.

This is an awesome tip. Neutralizing color casts is something I fuck up all the time in my photos, and being color blind makes it even harder. I can’t wait to try this.
