XOXCO: Going Password-less in a Post-Honan-Gate... →
xoxco: Our friend Mat Honan experienced a monumental attack on his digital identity last week. He’s written extensively about it on his personal site and for Wired, and appears above in a clip from CNN. The short story is, hackers were able to gain access to his accounts, not by guessing… Google’s 2-factor authentication seems like a really important thing here (see...

XOXCO: Is it time for password-less login? →
xoxco: Logging in to web sites is ironically one of the most difficult tasks put before our users. Usernames and passwords are hard to remember, and harder than ever to type on the tiny on-screen keyboards of mobile devices. Even large, successful websites report that they receive an outsized number of… an interesting idea, for sure.

I'm a little confused about retina displays?
Did Apple release a product with a “better” display, that makes all websites with images look like crap, except for the ones that create 2 version of all of their images?

Tag tip for theme designers
staff: If you’re using {TagsAsClasses} to apply special formatting to posts with certain tags, you might not want those particular tags showing up on your blog or on the Dashboard.  Luckily, tags prefixed with an underscore, like “_promo”, will only appear in {TagsAsClasses}.  Ta-da! Except, of course, CSS classes must begin with a letter (not a number, or a symbol).

Precise color cast correction with gray fill... →
gesteves: Neutralizing a color cast can be one of the most difficult jobs in post-production. The problem I most often have is realizing that my image has a color cast, but not being able to identify which color is causing the cast! Is it magenta or red? Blue or cyan? This simple tutorial solves this problem by finding neutral gray in the image, thereby removing the need to guess the...
